𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC undergoes CHED RQAT Onsite Validation Visit for New Programs and Monitoring of SAS, GAD, and UniFAST

Following the successful documentary analysis of Limay Polytechnic College’s (LPC) application for five (5) new academic programs, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) led by Ms. Maricris David, ES II successfully conducted an Onsite Validation Visit amid heavy rains and downpours. The activity also included the simultaneous monitoring of the College’s implementation of Student Affairs and Services (SAS), Gender and Development (GAD), and UniFAST programs, Sept. 3.

The onsite visit, which was rescheduled due to the earlier typhoon and flooding situation, brought together the assigned Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for the five proposed academic programs, CHEDRO III supervising officials, as well as representatives from the UniFAST Regional Office III.

The visiting team commenced the activity with a courtesy call on College President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, followed by an opening conference at the College Audiovisual Room with LPC officials, department heads, and concerned institutional personnel.

The opening conference was likewise graced by Hon. Remigio S. Tayag, Jr., Chairperson of the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Education; Mr. Melchor Fernando, Municipal Administrator, who delivered welcome greetings on behalf of Hon. Mayor Richie Jason David; and Ms. Remedios P. Mendoza, Board Secretary.

Throughout the validation and monitoring activities, the assessors conducted an extensive review of documentary exhibits and supporting evidence, interviewed concerned school officials and personnel, inspected institutional facilities, and visited various servicing and operational units of the College.

At the conclusion of the visit, the assessment teams presented their initial findings, feedbacks, recommendations, and encouragement to the College officials.

Notably, in their overall observations, the evaluators commended LPC for its sustained efforts in strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and implementing standards toward the realization of its intended institutional outcomes.

The teams likewise expressed appreciation for the College’s organized preparation and comprehensive presentation of reports and documentary evidence, which helped facilitate a more systematic, efficient, and convenient assessment process.

The availability of supporting legal documents and the operations manuals of various institutional units was also recognized as a significant strength in demonstrating the College’s preparedness and operational systems.

While slight recommendations and areas for further enhancement were presented, the overall feedback provided encouragement for the College to continue its pursuit of quality improvement, institutional development, and innovation. The Team also acknowledged their much appreciation for the warm accommodation and kind assistance in providing their documentary needs and most of all, the responsive people who assisted, stayed with and attended to them.

In response, President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon reaffirmed LPC’s commitment to immediately work on the recommendations and observations upon receipt of the official technical reports. He expressed his sincere appreciation to CHEDRO III, the Regional Quality Assessment Team, and the UniFAST Regional Office III for their continuing guidance, technical support, and attention to the development of Limay Polytechnic College.

Dr. De Leon also recognized the collective efforts of the institutional team, faculty members, unit heads, and personnel who worked diligently in preparing the documentary requirements and institutional evidence needed for the onsite validation and monitoring visit.

For LPC, the CHED-RQAT Onsite Validation Visit and the simultaneous monitoring of SAS, GAD, and UniFAST represent another meaningful opportunity for continuous quality improvement, growth, development, and innovation.

More significantly, the milestone comes at a meaningful time as the College advances toward and celebrates its Pearl Anniversary Year, reaffirming its commitment to building a stronger, future-ready, and quality-driven institution for the people of Limay and its neighboring communities. #
