OBJECTIVES
  1. Develop and maintain an updated and well-balanced collection that supports academic and research activities.
  2. Provide a conducive learning environment with modern facilities and digital access.
  3. Assist students and faculty in acquiring research and information literacy skills.
  4. Strengthen faculty and student engagement through collaborative library initiatives.
  5. Establish linkages with local and international institutions for resource sharing.
  6. Extend library services to the community and promote literacy programs.
SERVICES OFFERED
  • Resource Management Service

    The Library and Information Center serves as the custodian of the institution's physical and digital resources, ensuring the proper organization, cataloging, and maintenance of books, journals, multimedia, and research materials. This includes curating collections to support curriculum requirements and research needs.

  • Library Membership and Orientation

    It is the responsibility of the Library and Information Center to manage user registration, provide access credentials, and orient students and faculty on the proper use of library facilities and services. This includes conducting workshops on library navigation and research tools.

  • Digital Resources Access

    The Center provides access to a wide range of e-books, online journals, research databases, and multimedia resources to support learning and academic pursuits. Remote access to these resources is also facilitated for convenience.

  • Research Assistance and Guidance

    The Library and Information Center offers individual and group consultations to help students and faculty with research needs, including guidance on citation styles, source evaluation, and resource discovery.

  • Circulation and Borrowing Services

    This service allows users to borrow and return books and other materials in a systematic manner, including the renewal of loans and reservation of in-demand items.

  • Information Literacy Programs

    The Center conducts training sessions and workshops on information literacy, teaching students and faculty how to effectively search, evaluate, and use information in their academic and professional work.

  • Issuance of Certifications and Clearances

    The Library and Information Center attends to students' requests for clearance, library usage certifications, and other documentation required for academic and employment purposes.

  • Archiving and Preservation

    The Library is responsible for preserving and archiving rare books, historical documents, and institutional research outputs to ensure their longevity and accessibility for future generations.


POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

1. ELIGIBILITY

Library membership is open to all enrolled students, faculty, staff, and authorized users.

2. LIBRARY CARD/ID

Users must present their valid library card or institutional ID to access library services and borrow materials.

 3. RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership must be renewed at the start of each academic term or as required.

LIBRARY HOURS

Operating Hours: The library is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends.

Holiday Schedule: The library will be closed on public holidays and other institutional breaks unless otherwise announced.

BORROWING AND CIRCULATION

  • Borrowing Limit: Users may borrow up to [Insert Number] items at a time, depending on their user category (e.g., student, faculty, staff).
  • Loan Period:

CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOR

  • Respect for Others: Users are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards library staff and other patrons.
  • Prohibited Activities:
    Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed inside the library.
    Loud conversations and disruptive behavior are strictly prohibited.
  • Cell Phones: Mobile phones must be set to silent mode, and phone calls are not permitted in quiet zones.

DIGITAL RESOURCES

  • Access: Users are provided with login credentials to access digital resources such as e-books, journals, and databases.
  • Usage Restrictions: Downloading or sharing copyrighted materials without authorization is prohibited.
  • Fair Use Policy: Digital resources must be used solely for academic or research purposes.

INTERNET AND WI-FI USE

  • Purpose: Internet and Wi-Fi services are for academic use only.
  • Restrictions: Accessing inappropriate or non-academic websites is strictly prohibited.

CLEARANCE AND EXIT

  • Library Clearance: Students and staff must obtain clearance from the library before graduation, resignation, or transfer.
