QUALITI Office updates Faculty and Staff on LPC’s Internationalization Journey

𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) continues to strengthen its commitment to internationalization as a strategic pathway toward global excellence, institutional competitiveness, and sustainable partnerships.
As part of the Employees’ Capacity Building 2026 held on July 3, Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, Quality Assurance, Linkages, Internationalization and Training for Institutional Quality (QUALITI) Officer and Internationalization (IZN) Deputy, oriented LPC administrators, faculty, and staff on the institution’s “Road to LPC’s Internationalization Journey.”
Mr. Banda presented the vision, mission, and goals of the QUALITI Office, emphasizing their alignment with LPC’s Institutional Vision, Mission, and Goals and the College’s strategic directions, particularly Pathway 5: Sustainable Internationalization and Strong Partnership.
During the session, he discussed the various areas and dimensions of internationalization embedded in LPC’s institutional development agenda, including the plans, strategies, inputs, and processes necessary to translate internationalization aspirations into concrete institutional outcomes.
He likewise highlighted the significant milestones LPC has achieved through its continuing internationalization initiatives. These include participation in international university rankings, affiliations with international organizations, partnerships with foreign institutions and organizations, benchmarking activities, faculty development and capacity-building programs, cultural and student exchange initiatives, ASEAN program presentations, internship and international career opportunities, and research and extension collaborations.
Mr. Banda also shared the QUALITI Office’s continuing engagement in various internationalization - related assemblies, executive sessions, training programs, invitational orientations, and collaborative activities. He underscored the importance of maintaining active networks with internationalization practitioners and groups from different higher education institutions, including those coordinated through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
A significant portion of the presentation focused on the process of applying for international university rankings. Mr. Banda explained the requirements and processes involved and described how LPC has progressively positioned itself to participate in and gain recognition through various global ranking and assessment platforms.
The orientation provided faculty and staff with a broader appreciation of internationalization—not simply as a pursuit of foreign partnerships, but as an institutional strategy that permeates quality assurance, academic development, faculty and student mobility, research, extension, partnerships, innovation, and global benchmarking.
The initiative also reinforced the idea that internationalization is a collective institutional undertaking. Every academic, administrative, and support unit has a role in ensuring that LPC's systems, practices, programs, and outputs are responsive to international standards while remaining relevant to its local mandate.
Through the continuing efforts of the QUALITI Office and the active participation of the entire LPC community, the College continues to establish its presence in the broader international higher education landscape.
Indeed, LPC continues to move forward on its internationalization journey - strengthening partnerships, pursuing global recognition, embracing international standards, and ensuring that its institutional development remains responsive to an increasingly interconnected world. #
