Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) and Justice Emilio Angeles Gancayco Memorial High School (JEAGMHS) on Monday, formally sealed their academic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at JEAGMHS in Orion, Bataan, January 19.
The agreement focuses on supporting JEAGMHSβ Aral Program, an initiative designed to improve studentsβ academic performance, particularly in reading comprehension.
Representing LPC during the event were College President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, Academic Director and Teacher Education Department Head Ms. April R. Cruz, and QA/IZN Deputy Mr. Mark Anthony Banda.
JEAGMHS was represented by School Principal III Dr. Jennifer S. Dominguez, Assistant School Principal Ms. Madeline M. Saba, along with faculty and staff members.
Dr. Dominguez expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with LPC, noting the positive impact of the collegeβs student interns on their school operations.
βOur teachersβ workload has become lighter because of the student-teachers from LPC, so we are truly grateful for this partnership. We hope to continue this collaboration to sustain our Aral Program,β Domingo said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Saba discussed the objectives of the Aral Program, emphasizing its goal of strengthening studentsβ reading comprehension and overall learning skills.
In his message, Dr. De Leon assured JEAGMHS of LPCβs full support and commitment. He emphasized that the partnership would go beyond the projects stipulated in the MOA and would extend to other academic programs beneficial to both institutions.
Following the MOA signing, Dr. De Leon also took time to meet with LPC student-interns deployed at JEAGMHS.
He checked on their current experiences, encouraged them in their duties, and reminded them of the importance of dedication and professionalism in their practice teaching. #
