𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC heralds Authors and Illustrator of Children’s Book; Set for Book Launch and Signing at MIBF 2026

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) proudly celebrates the achievement of two of its administrators, whose children’s books will soon be launched for national circulation through Central Books Publishing and Lampara Publication.
Mr. Dominic Primero, Director of Guidance, Testing and Human Formation and the College Registered Guidance Counselor, and Ms. Geyser Charrese Gatchula, Head of Information Technology Education, are the authors of the children’s book entitled “Paano ang Kulay Pula?”
The book presents an engaging and meaningful exploration of the concept and experience of color blindness, helping young readers better understand differences in visual perception through an accessible children’s story.
Adding another dimension to the achievement, Ms. Gatchula also served as the illustrator of “Paano ang Kulay Pula?” and "Parang Pugita si Nanay", as well as other children’s books set to be introduced during the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2026.
The authors and illustrator are scheduled to participate in the book launch and signing activity on September 10, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, where they will personally meet book patrons, readers, book lovers, and clients.
The recognition highlights LPC's continuing efforts to strengthen the development of quality learning and reading materials for both institutional and national circulation and distribution.
The College has continuously encouraged faculty members to engage in authorship and knowledge production across different fields and disciplines.
Several faculty-authored resources have been developed through Project AKLAT (Authorship for Knowledge-based Learning and Teaching), while others have emerged from the professional expertise, research interests, and publication initiatives of individual administrators and faculty members.
This latest accomplishment adds to the growing body of intellectual and instructional resources produced by the LPC academic community, reflecting the institution's commitment to advancing scholarship, creativity, literacy, and knowledge dissemination.
Notably, copies of the learning and source materials authored by Mr. Primero and Ms. Gatchula will also form part of the Limay Polytechnic College Library collection, particularly as valuable references for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) program. Other children’s book collections illustrated and authored by Ms. Gatchula are likewise expected to enrich the College's growing repository of instructional and literary resources.
Through the accomplishments of its faculty/administrator authors and illustrators, LPC continues to demonstrate that the College is not only a center for instruction and learning but also a developing community of authors, researchers, creators, and knowledge producers whose works can reach learners and readers beyond the institution.
As “Paano ang Kulay Pula?” reaches the national reading community, Limay Polytechnic College proudly shares in the milestone of its faculty members and administrators and looks forward to the wider impact of their creative work in promoting children's literature, inclusive understanding, and a stronger culture of reading. #
