𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC welcomes MVGFCI delegation for benchmarking on internationalization, quality assurance

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Friday hosted officials from Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges Inc. (MVGFCI) for another benchmarking activity centered on institutional best practices, internationalization, and quality assurance, at the LPC Library, July 24.

The benchmarking visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches that strengthen academic excellence, governance, and institutional development.

LPC Academic Director and Head of the Teacher Education Department Ms. April R. Cruz welcomed the delegation, underscoring the value of benchmarking in fostering collaboration and promoting continuous improvement among higher education institutions.

“Institutional benchmarking is not merely about comparing programs, processes, or achievements. It is about building meaningful partnerships, identifying areas for improvement, and strengthening our shared commitment to providing quality and relevant education to our students,” Cruz said.

LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon presented the College’s institutional journey, strategic direction, and major accomplishments, emphasizing LPC’s efforts in internationalization, quality assurance, academic management, and strategic partnerships despite its modest resources.

“As you can see, we only have a few people but are able to accomplish a lot of achievements. It’s because of everyone’s effort. We have problems, but at the end of the day, we resolve them. We share happiness, and we share loneliness, but at the end of the day, in terms of service, we are together. And that’s our strength,” De Leon said.

The discussion continued with an open forum, where the MVGFCI delegation consulted LPC officials on internationalization initiatives, quality assurance practices, governance, and institutional operations, with responses from Dr. De Leon, Quality Assurance and Internationalization (QAIZN) Officer Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, and other key officials.

The benchmarking visit concluded with the presentation of certificates and commemorative tokens, followed by a campus tour featuring LPC’s accomplishments in internationalization, research, extension, quality assurance, and other institutional best practices.

Joining the MVGFCI delegation were Dr. John Patrick A. Garces, Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education and Committee Member for Internationalization; Dr. Al John Marcelino, Faculty Member of the Institute of Business Management and Committee Member for Internationalization; and Ms. Camille Torres, Technical Assistant of the Heritage Center. #
