A total of twenty-four (24) senior citizens on Thursday, received their certificates in the recently concluded 2nd Limay Polytechnic College Edukalinga Senior Citizen Education Completion Ceremony during the celebration of LPC's 29th Founding Anniversary, demonstrating that learning remains possible at any stage of life, held at Limay Sports Complex, June 4.
Carrying the theme โEmpowered Seniors: Continuing Growth, Inspiring Generations for Community and Global Impact,โ the ceremony recognized senior citizens who returned to formal education and successfully completed the Edukalinga program.
In his opening message, LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon emphasized the institutionโs commitment to lifelong learning.
โLearning has no age limits,โ De Leon said. โEducation remains a powerful force no matter what the age.โ
Sangguniang Bayan Member Sarah V. David likewise commended the completers, describing education as a lifelong journey.
โPinatunayan ng ating mga senior citizens na ang edukasyon ay isang habambuhay na paglalakbay. Ang tunay na pagkatuto ay walang edad,โ David said.
She also encouraged the graduates to continue pursuing personal growth beyond the program. โHindi katapusan ng inyong paglalakbay,โ she added.
Municipal officials, college administrators, and family members attended the event to celebrate the achievements of the graduates.
Moreover, the 24 completers, representing the barangays of Alangan, Landing, Townsite, and Bo. Luz, formally presented by Edukalinga Coordinator Ms. Quences Ricel G. De Guzman and confirmed by Dr. De Leon before receiving their certificates.
Special awards were also presented to outstanding completers, recognizing their dedication and perseverance throughout the program.
Representing the graduates, Mr. Gabriel M. Balastigue delivered a message of gratitude, while a video presentation highlighted the participantsโ Edukalinga journey.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Joemark D. Ablian, MAEd, Head of Research, Innovation and Extension.
