Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) warmly welcomed officials from Kolehiyo ng Subic (KNS) for a benchmarking activity and exchange dialogue on best practices in research and extension services, internationalization, and quality assurance, as stipulated in KNSβs letter of intent, May 6.
The benchmarking activity served as a venue for meaningful exchange of ideas, experiences, and institutional practices between the visiting and host institutions.
Both parties engaged in open discussions on challenges encountered, strategic interventions undertaken, and productive partnerships that contributed to their respective institutional developments.
LPC President Dr. Elmer De Leon presented the Collegeβs institutional history, current developments, and strategic future directions, particularly emphasizing the requested areas of benchmarking. He highlighted LPCβs academic dreaming strategy, management systems, and strong social engagement initiatives that have enabled the institution to attain significant accomplishments evidenced by concrete and measurable outcomes despite its limited resources and small institutional size.
Dr. De Leon also shared LPCβs effective operational planning mechanisms, target auditing systems, and cost-efficient, return-on-investment approaches in institutional management. Moreover, he proudly showcased the Collegeβs outcomes-based research initiatives conducted in partnership with government agencies, institutions, and organizations, all geared toward social and economic development with both local and global impact.
During the open forum, various questions were raised and addressed by LPC officials. Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, QUALITY Coordinator, discussed matters related to internationalization and quality assurance; Mr. Joemark Ablian, Director for Research, Development, and Extension (RDE), elaborated on research and community extension initiatives; while Dr. De Leon responded to queries concerning governance, management systems, and institutional engagements.

βWith all these stories we heard from LPC, we can say that we can also steadily move forward and achieve our goals with confidence. Thank you, LPC, for the many takeaways you unselfishly shared with us today as we continue our academic journey,β expressed Dr. Agustin.
In response, Dr. De Leon assured KNS of LPCβs continued support in its academic and institutional undertakings.
βWe are here, in our own little capacities and humble resources, to support your undertakings by all means possible,β assured Dr. De Leon.
Following the interactive dialogue and exchange of ideas, LPC, through Dr. De Leon and Ms. April Cruz, presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a commemorative token to KNS through Dr. Agustin.
