The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III), in partnership with the Association of Local Colleges and Universities, successfully conducted a capability-building seminar on the ACHIEVE Framework, gathering higher education leaders, administrators, and coordinators, held at the Baliwag Business Center, Feb. 24
Dr. Roger S. Ambida, president of ALCU Region III and head of the City College of San Jose del Monte, opened the program by recognizing the collective efforts of participating institutions and CHED officials in advancing quality education across the region.
CHEDRO III Director Dr. Maura Consolacion D. Cristobal led the seminarβs first session, presenting the key components of the ACHIEVE Framework aimed at strengthening academic excellence, institutional resilience, and long-term sustainability among higher education institutions (HEIs).
Cristobal underscored the role of leadership in institutional growth, citing leadership expert John C. Maxwell: βThe challenge of leadership is to create change and facilitate growth,β urging education leaders to drive innovation and continuous improvement within their respective institutions.
Officials from CHEDRO III also delivered a series of discussions and guidance sessions, equipping participants with strategies and policy updates aligned with CHEDβs ongoing efforts to enhance educational standards and performance in Central Luzon.
The event concluded with the ALCU Region III board meeting, where officials deliberated on institutional updates, collaborative initiatives, and preparations for upcoming activities, including the region-wide cultural and sports festival. #
