Date Posted: Oct. 26, 2026
Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) continues to pursue meaningful internationalization opportunities and global ranking participation, maximizing its available resources, institutional capabilities, and human capital toward its vision of becoming an internationally recognized local college.
In response to the expanding requirements of international ranking agencies and the growing number of global engagement opportunities, the Collegeβs Internationalization Unit (IZN), led by Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, is expanding its team to include representatives from various institutional units who implement programs, projects, research initiatives, and community engagements with potential international relevance.
Through this initiative, LPC also seeks to inspire other small and resource-constrained institutions by demonstrating that limited resources and budgets need not hinder meaningful participation in the international arena.
With strategic planning, collective commitment, and purposeful utilization of available resources, local colleges can progressively strengthen their global visibility and institutional competitiveness.
Strengthening the Internationalization Roadmap
On October 22, 2026, Mr. Banda convened the expanded IZN Team for an orientation on LPCβs internationalization journey, current accomplishments, and standing in various global ranking initiatives.
The meeting also outlined strategic directions and priorities for the next three to five years.
The orientation covered the preparations, documentation, and processes required for international engagement and ranking submissions, including updated policies, assessment criteria, submission requirements, and deadlines established by the respective ranking agencies.
The teamβs expansion is intended to promote shared responsibility in gathering institutional data, documenting good practices, identifying relevant projects, and aligning existing programs with international benchmarks.
It also seeks to strengthen coordination across academic departments and administrative units to ensure that LPCβs accomplishments are properly documented, validated, and presented for appropriate recognition.
Recognizing the Previous Teamβs Contributions
Mr. Banda expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the current pioneer IZN Team for its dedication and voluntary efforts in completing extensive documentation and preparations despite demanding timelines, mounting requirements, and competing institutional responsibilities.
Their collective efforts contributed to improvements in LPCβs ranking performance and enabled the College to secure recognition across a wider range of ranking categories, including substantial participation in its initial engagement with certain global ranking initiatives.
Recognizing these accomplishments, Mr. Banda challenged the expanded team to prepare for another year of increasingly demanding work, emphasizing the need for greater coordination, more systematic documentation, stronger evidence-based reporting, and sustained commitment to internationalization.
The challenge extends beyond improving rankings. It also calls for identifying more sustainable institutional and community projects, strengthening international partnerships, and translating global engagement into meaningful benefits for students, faculty, personnel, and partner communities.
Advancing Sustainable Global Engagement
With the expanded team, LPC aims to improve its performance in existing global ranking initiatives while exploring additional opportunities for international participation in the coming years.
The College will continue to identify relevant programs and projects that demonstrate institutional innovation, sustainability, quality education, community impact, and meaningful partnerships.
By aligning internationalization efforts with institutional priorities, LPC seeks to build a more systematic and sustainable approach to global engagementβone that values not only ranking results but also the quality, relevance, and measurable impact of its accomplishments.
Ultimately, the expansion of the IZN Team reflects LPCβs commitment to continuous quality improvement, collaborative leadership, and purposeful internationalization.
Through shared accountability and strategic resource management, the College aspires to strengthen its global visibility, widen opportunities for engagement, and demonstrate that a local college can pursue international recognition through determination, innovation, and collective action. #
