Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) officer of Student Affairs, Discipline and Services (OSADS) Ms. Jesica Marata, joined the Pawikan Training 2025, themed: "A Capacity Building in Handling of Pawikan" at Kitang 2 and Bo. Luz Multipurpose Hall, October 10.

The conduct of the said environmental activity was a shared effort of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) and Petron Foundation.

The activity intended to instill awareness and practical skills among environmental stakeholders on proper care and conservation of marine turtles at par with municipality’s continuing advocacy for marine biodiversity conservation, especially in protecting the Pawikan, being one of the most endangered species in the coastal ecosystem of Limay.

Participants included the Philippine Coast Guard, DENR, CENRO Dinalupihan, Philippine National Police - Limay, Bantay Kalikasan, Limay Polytechnic College and Environmental Committees among nine (9) barangays, respectively.

The whole program was manned and coordinated by Mr. Johnny Mandocdoc, MENRO head.

To note, LPC has been advocating environmental care through different activities, including conservation of Pawikan in this town.

As such, it strongly supports MENRO in its advocacy projects and initiative efforts as bound in the memorandum of understanding transacted for the partnership purpose.

Truly, only by caring the environment and prioritizing a balanced ecosystem that life would become more sustainable and environmentally safe and fulfilling.

Thus, "Let us continue to unite for a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Limay," challenged Mr. Mandocdoc. #
