Newly hired faculty members of Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) participated in an Onboarding Orientation titled "Employees' Benefits, Privileges, and Obligations as Public Servants" with Ms. Charidel Sapuyot, Administrative Officer IV of the Municipality of Limay as resource person, on July 8 at the LPC Audiovisual Room.
The orientation provided participants with a comprehensive discussion of human resource policies, career development opportunities, and other employment-related matters. Particular emphasis was given to compensation, benefits, and government-mandated privileges available to employees, enabling the new faculty members to better understand their rights and entitlements as public servants.
Alongside these benefits, Ms. Sapuyot emphasized the duties, responsibilities, and ethical obligations expected of government employees.
She reminded the participants that public office is a public trust, calling on them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and dedication in serving both the institution and the community.
The orientation also featured an open forum where faculty members raised questions regarding employment policies, benefits, and personnel requirements.
Ms. Sapuyot addressed their concerns and provided clear guidance on the pertinent documents that newly hired employees must complete and submit to the Civil Service Commission and other concerned government agencies.
On behalf of the Municipality of Limay, Ms. Sapuyot warmly welcomed the newly hired faculty and staff as the newest members of the Limay Local Government family, encouraging them to embrace public service with commitment and excellence.
LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon expressed his appreciation to Ms. Sapuyot for accepting the College's invitation and for sharing her expertise in clarifying important human resource and employment concerns.
As a token of gratitude, he presented her with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of her valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the onboarding orientation.
Immediately right thereafter, Ms. Sapuyot guided newly hired ones and those upgraded in their status on the documents they need to prepare in a briefing session.
The activity reflects LPC's commitment to ensuring that its faculty members begin their professional journey with a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and the ethical standards expected of public servants, thereby strengthening the College's culture of excellence, integrity, and quality public service. #
