LPC celebrates Tri-Activities in August; coordination meeting set

This August is a triple commemoration mandated by law. To wit: Buwan ng Wika (Pres. Proclamation No. 1041 s. 1997), Buwan ng Kasaysayan (Pres. Proclamation No. 339 s. 2012) and ASEAN Month (Pres. Proclamation No. 282 s. 2017).
Hence, LPC prepares programs to commemorate all these mandated provisions. Thus, a coordination meeting was called for this purpose with the Academic Department heads, OSADS and the KamFil adviser.
As such, they were able to come up with the trifocal activities.
To wit: For Buwan ng Wika celebration, given the national theme, there will be for series of Palihan ng Wika to be conducted each week with the BSE - Filipino major encompassing the subthemes (wika na gamit ang Filipino sign language; wika at kalikasan; wikang pangkasarian; at wika ng malayang pamamahayag); competitions in poster making, original Pinoy song composition, spoken poetry and instrumental poetry writing; laro ng katutubo; OPM zumba, along with promotional video and new Filipino word list recognition.
For the Buwan ng Kasaysayan, there will be Bataan and Limay History and Culture Quiz (Professional and Student Editions) and Visual Media Competition. To note, the said quiz bee will become an avenue for the selection of participants in preparation for LPC's entry to Bataan Tourism's Bataan History and Culture Quiz Bee.
For ASEAN Month, there will be a culminating activity with ASEAN dress parade, trivia and quiz bee, ASEAN translated Filipino song presentation, launching of ASEAN-inspired faculty and staff uniform and the grandeur singing of ASEAN theme song.
This is one way or another, LPC's adherence to mandated commemoration through these various programs and activities. #
