𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | PNP Bataan visits LPC; explores Partnership for Campus Safety and Student Development Programs

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Bataan Police Provincial Office – 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC) paid a courtesy visit to Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on July 22 to explore possible partnerships aimed at strengthening campus safety, security, and student development initiatives.
The PNP delegation was led by Police Major Marvin Manaloto, accompanied by Patrolman Carl Aldrin Rotas and Patrolman Arvin Millante, who met with LPC President Dr. Elmer De Leon to discuss collaborative programs that the police organization can offer to the College, similar to those being implemented in other educational institutions across the province.
During the meeting, the PNP officials inquired about the current status of the College and its peace and order situation.
Dr. De Leon shared that LPC continues to maintain a peaceful, orderly, and secure campus environment, attributing this to the active participation of students in various organizations and co-curricular activities that promote leadership, responsibility, and positive engagement.
The College President also emphasized that LPC upholds a culture of discipline through clearly defined institutional rules, policies, and standards of conduct, supported by appropriate sanctions for violations.
These measures, coupled with meaningful student involvement, have contributed to the commendable discipline and behavior of the student body.
The exploratory meeting also identified potential areas for collaboration in promoting campus security and emergency preparedness.
Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, Administrative Assistant to the President, proposed the conduct of specialized training programs for the College's watchmen, student sentinels, and Rover Scouts to further strengthen their capabilities in safeguarding the campus, responding to emergencies, and supporting institutional safety initiatives. This has also been a requirement by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Both parties expressed their commitment to establishing a partnership that will benefit the College community through capacity-building activities, security awareness programs, crime prevention education, and other initiatives that promote a safe and conducive learning environment.
In fact, as a quick dynamic response, said orientation and training is scheduled on second week of August upon proper coordination and preparation.
The proposed collaboration reflects Limay Polytechnic College's continuing commitment to fostering strong partnerships with government agencies in support of its strategic direction on Good Governance, Safety and Security, and Quality Assurance, ensuring the welfare and protection of every member of the academic community.
