Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) Research, Development, and Extension Office (RDEO) Director Joemark Ablian, on Friday, attended the 93rd Annual Scientific Conference and General Membership Assembly of the DOST - National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), March 13.
The whole-day seminar brought together researchers, academics, and, government officials to discuss collaborative approaches to advancing national development through science and innovation.
The program opened with remarks delivered by NRCP President Dr. Ma. Louise Antonette N. De Las PeΓ±as and Department of Science and Technology Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr., emphasizing the role of research in nation-building.
A keynote address highlighted the importance of integrating knowledge across disciplines, calling for unified innovation and action aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Furthermore, the session discussed the need for stronger partnerships among institutions, researchers, and policymakers.
Panel dialogues followed, focusing on building collaborative capacities across various academic fields. Experts from different disciplines shared insights on strengthening interdisciplinary research and promoting ethical practices in scientific studies.
