Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) continues to strengthen its support for student organizations, recognizing their vital role in complementing classroom learning and providing meaningful opportunities for students to develop skills, confidence, leadership, empowerment, collaboration, and social responsibility.

Anchored on its commitment to holistic student development, LPC facilitated the establishment, processing, approval, and official accreditation of eight new student organizations in 2026.

These organizations expand the opportunities for LPCians to pursue their interests while contributing to the College's academic, developmental, civic, environmental, and internationalization initiatives.

The newly accredited organizations are:

1. Student Sports Club - promotes physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and holistic student development through organized sports, recreational activities, intramurals, and fitness-oriented programs.
President: Irish Menta
Adviser: Mr. Angelo Gregorio

2. Toastmasters and Debaters' Club - develops students' competence and confidence in public speaking, argumentation, communication, critical thinking, and leadership. It provides opportunities for students to articulate ideas clearly, respectfully, and persuasively through speeches, debates, discussions, and related activities.
President: Charles Solomon Castillo
Adviser: Mr. Kenner Garcia

3. The Integrated Philippine Anti-Illegal Drug Strategies (IPADS) Student Advocates - serves as a student-led platform for promoting awareness, prevention, and responsible action against illegal drug use. It encourages students to become informed advocates of healthy, drug-free, and productive communities through education, peer engagement, information campaigns, and community initiatives.
President: Anjela Louise Balmaceda

4. The Polyglot Horizon - is a language, culture, and internationalization-oriented organization that encourages students to explore foreign languages, intercultural communication, global cultures, and international perspectives. It seeks to broaden students' horizons and prepare them for an increasingly interconnected academic and professional environment.
President: Khiannah Egnisaban

5. Youth Civic Builders - develops socially responsible, community-oriented, and future-ready student leaders. It promotes active citizenship through volunteerism, community service, civic education, leadership development, and participation in initiatives responsive to local community needs.
President: Daisy Joy Leynes
Adviser: Ms. Alyssa Mae Saberdo

6. Enviro-Care Advocate Society - promotes environmental responsibility, sustainability, conservation, and climate-conscious citizenship among LPCians. It engages students in practical environmental initiatives such as waste reduction, recycling, biodiversity protection, clean-up drives, tree-growing activities, and environmental education.

7. Social Science Society - provides an academic and civic platform for students interested in understanding society, culture, human behavior, governance, history, economics, politics, and contemporary social issues. It encourages critical inquiry, research, dialogue, and socially responsive participation.
President: Charmelyn Bula
Adviser: Ms. Catherine Sabas

8. The Peace Youth Advocate Society promotes a culture of peace, respect, understanding, and non-violence among LPCians. It provides students with opportunities to develop conflict-resolution skills, intercultural understanding, empathy, responsible citizenship, and constructive dialogue.

Strengthening the Student Organization Ecosystem

The eight newly accredited organizations further enrich LPC's student organization ecosystem, providing avenues for engagement in sports and wellness, communication and leadership, drug-abuse prevention, social inquiry, environmental sustainability, internationalization, peace and civic engagement.

These organizations complement the College's continuing efforts to develop the Dangal LPCian—a student who is competent, confident, responsible, collaborative, globally-oriented, and committed to meaningful contribution to the community.

At LPC, student organizations are broadly categorized according to their scope and purpose: Main Organizations, which include student government and student press; Departmental Organizations, which encompass students within department units; Academic Organizations, which focus on specific academic or specialization fields; Civic Socio-Cultural Organizations, which engage students in civic initiatives, arts, skills, sports, and social involvement; and Special Interest Societies, which bring together students who share particular fields or interests.

This organizational structure provides students with diverse avenues for participation while ensuring that student activities remain aligned with their developmental, academic, social, and leadership needs.

Formal Induction and New Leadership

The officers and advisers of the newly accredited organizations are set to participate in the 3rd Pagtatalaga, where they will be formally inducted into their respective positions. The ceremony will signify their official designation and mark the beginning of their organizational responsibilities and planned programs and activities.

More than simply recognizing new student groups, the accreditation of these organizations represents LPC's continuing investment in student empowerment, leadership formation, experiential learning, and meaningful engagement beyond the classroom.

Through these platforms, LPCians are given greater opportunities to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, work collaboratively, serve others, and translate learning into purposeful action while advancing the College's vision of producing future-ready graduates and responsible citizens with local commitment and global perspective. #
