De Leon appointed CPSP-CATS Member; takes oath

As per PRC Res. 1880 stating the reconstitution of Career Progression and Specialization Program - Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) Committee, Pres. Dr. Elmer B. De Leon was appointed as Member representing the academe. To note, Committee members include the Professional Board chair and vice chair, representatives from the academe, industry and accredited professional organizations. Hence, induction of Committee members was held, October 07, 2024 via zoom officiated by PRC Comm. Dr. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr., CPSP-CATS Oversight Commissioner. In counting, a total of 42 members comprised different professional boards, including the Business, Education and Social Science (BES) Cluster. CPSP-CATS is now becoming a global trend as it tends to create a system of career pathways, equivalencies, and quality assured mechanisms for the validation, accreditation and recognition of formal, non-formal and informal learning outcomes for each profession along with the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF). Notably, this is another high stake professional engagement for LPC as the 17th stint all throughout various fields that manifests strengthening collaboration, engagement and leadership in professional organizations, agencies, civic organizations and institutional consortia networks toward nationalization and internationalization ideals. Emphasizing the great role of extension of service and expertise to the community and society in the local, regional and national contexts, not just as a compliance and mandate, but also with its impact-driven purpose benefit the LPC community in terms of branding, access and first hand updates.
