Pres. Dr. Elmer B. De Leon was invited to attend the online orientation on Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) and ASEAN Reference Qualifications Framework (ARQF) conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 12, 2024 via zoom as a take-off to Career Progression and Specialization Program and Credit and Accreditation Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) to be structured and institutionalized by the said regulatory agency pursuant to R.A. No. 10912. Accordingly, the said act states that it is the policy of the state to institutionalize the PQF to encourage lifelong learning of individuals, provide employees specific training standards and qualifications aligned with industry standards. It also describes the levels of educational qualifications and set the standards for qualification outcomes. Notably, having been an active part of the said Committee, Dr. De Leon empowers LPC Community on PQF-ARQF imposition in all its undertakings alongside with the demanded Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It begins with competency mapping, purpose review and system recalibration in programs and curricula, co-curricular activities, classroom instruction, internship program, special programs, microcredentialing and lifelong learning program and standard institutional operation to ensure alignment to community needs, industry demands and preparations for future-ready graduates. #SDG4QualityEducation #SDG8decentworkandeconomicgrowth
