BPSU-LPC commissioned 'food project' research rolled out in Limay

After series of meetings, tool validation, technical expert consulations and planning sessions, finally, the Zero Kilometro Food Project Study had its roll-out process of gathering data from household consumers, farmers, merchants, importers and marine officials in Limay coastal upland and townsite residents on September 26, 2024. The said project is a collaborative research endeavored by the Bataan Peninsula State University and Limay Polytechnic College, in coordination with the Office of Municipal Agriculturist which aims at determining common product production, supply and demand condition and importation of products. Notably, it is expected to be processed and completed within 3 months from fielding of data until dissemination and reporting to the Department of Agriculture and Local Government of Limay. Results would serve as inputs to further development programs, especially for the local farmers and market merchants. Assigned enumerators and interviewers from LPC started their data gathering procedures with results to be presented, analyzed, interpreted and validated by the two partner institutions.
