LIMAY, Bataan - Limay Polytechnic College marked its 4th Lampara Investiture and Pinning Ceremony for pre-service teachers with the theme "Igniting the Spark: Empowering Pre-service Teachers in Creating an Impact on Community Development," held at the Limay Multi-purpose Hall, September 19. Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, LPC President, led the ceremony with his remarks, highlighting the significance of the five pins — Pinagmulan, Pinagmumulan, Pinapangarap, Pinatutunguhan, and Pinagdaraanan. Moreover, Hon. Francisco B. Bautista, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of the Limay District emphasized the importance of theology, psychology, and strategy in teaching during his keynote address. "Keep your lamps not for yourselves, but for others. Make sure your lamp shines not for you, but for others," Bautista remarked. In addition, Lorena C. Pablo, Batch 2018 Alumna, led the entrance of insignia and symbols, followed by lighting of lamps that symbolizes light as the pre-service teachers embarked on their new journey. A total of 127 pre-service teachers from the Education Department received their pins and are expected to be deployed to their respective cooperating schools in the coming weeks.
