The Department of Teacher Education and Business Admistration once again reigned in the annual Mr. & Ms. LPC pageant as their bets were crowned during the celebration of LPC's 27th Founding Anniversary, held at Limay Sports Complex, June 24, 2024. Second-time candidate Marielle Marcos from Education Department made a great comeback from last yearโs pageant after being proclaimed as the new Ms. LPC. Marcos fell short in winning the title in 2023 Ms. LPC and landed as the first runner-up. โThis year is indeed full of twists and turns because it was not really my intention to join the same pageant, but because of a lot of encouragements na rin sa akin for my department, kaya nagcomeback ako. And I am very thankful na rin dahil despite the challenges I faced during the process, may mga taong patuloy na pinaramdam yung support nila sa akin,โ expressed Marcos. On the other hand, 3rd year BSBA student Kenan Lumantas was adjudged as Mr. LPC 2024 and clinched most of the major and minor awards. โTo be honest, I felt pressured, especially because I needed to keep the crown and not let it be taken from the BSBA Department. So, I had many late nights practicing the proper way of walking and posing. I also stayed up late making costumes and preparing myself for this battle. To be honest, I didn't think that I would have the biggest advantage over my contingents because they were also great and excellent. I just kept telling myself that hard work is the key, and I'm thankful to my handlers who showed and proved to me that teamwork makes the dream work,โ newly crowned Mr. LPC resonated. With this feat of Lumantas, the Business Administration Department secured their third peat title in a row in the male category which started in 2022. Meanwhile, Jonathan Saliente and Brigette Laureen Ruiz from Education and Accountancy Departments were proclaimed as 1st runners-up, while Eunice Sapuyot and Eric John Fabrigas from the same department (EDUC) turned 2nd runners-up, respectively.
