In counting, more companies were worked out for partnership to get ready for student deployment for their internship. As part of the process, the Practicum coordinator visited prospective accepting companies and transacted memorandum of agreement and binding contract with them. The Department also scheduled the competency appraisal review to finalize the set of competencies expected of the interns which will be presented to the counterpart accepting companies. As LPC retools and upgrades the Practicum Program, it desires and aspires to take it as a serious process upon believing it to be a gateway to employment opportunities for students and graduates, which is the main thrust of LPC as a measure of student success and an institutional responsibility. As a development, it was agreed upon in the Academic Council that an added criterion was set in the standards for Outstanding Corporate Intern award which will be accorded to whoever will be immediately absorbed by the Host Industry during internship due to exemplary work performance. Likewise, the mentor in the partner company will also be recognized.
