After the day-long electronic election of Supreme Student Council (SSC), the most awaited moment was witnessed by LPC faculty, staff and studentry which was the Official Declaration of Winning Candidates. Upon thorough verification of results directly generated by the computer system operated by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) headed by Mr. Jester Guillermo, MIS officer, the newly elected officers were declared by Ms. Jesica Marata, OSADS night of October 06, 2023. As such, the first hoisting of LPC flag by the newly elected president Mark Adrian Labosta was witnessed by the LPCians upon the turn-over from the incumbent (who is now a graduate) SSC president Silvano Robenta, who was present during the Official Declaration Ceremony. Emotional moments were captured among winners and non-winning contenders during the declaration. But at the end of the day, humility, respect and acceptance emerged among contending parties that even the non-winners pledged their support to every program and project of the new set of SSC, while commitment of service was vouched by the elected ones. Said pledges were expressed as both parties had their friendly and graceful acceptance and exit. “The essence of sportsmanship and humility is indeed a prime value that each candidate and the electorate should possess, whether win or lose, still the commitment of service will go on in the heart and mind that is so pure, caring and loving,” reminded Ms. Marata, OSADS during the said results of election declaration.
