Landbank of the Philippines vouched partnership with Limay Polytechnic College for their PISO (Perang Inimpok Savings Option) Program for students on October 06, 2024. The said partnership presented by the bank manager Chona Cadiente was affirmed by Dr. Elmer B. de Leon as he found essential, relevant and timely for students learn how to save money as early as their age until their earning years for their retirement. Notably, this is a chance for the students to experience banking system and processing financial transaction by opening their own bank account without needed required application charges and maintaining balance upon issuing their ATM cards. Precisely, this opportunity is aligned with the academic competency entailed in the latter’s Financial Management (for Financial Management students), E-Commerce (Operations and Marketing Management and Accountancy), Building and Enhancing Financial Literacy (for Education Students) as endorsed by Ms. Aimee Roque (coordinator for Business Management), Mr. Carlo John (for Accountancy) and Ms. April Cruz (for Teacher Education); while there is a plan to extend it among first year students to be integrated in their NSTP courses. Currently, series of orientation seminars are in place among sections and batches.
