Dr. Elmer B. de Leon, LPC president was invited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) to the Recalibration Training of Accreditors for Hybrid Accreditation at the Novotel Manila, Araneta City, Quezon City on October 19, 2023 in time of its 50th year. The said recalibration was conducted by invitation among long time active accreditors as the PACUCOA commences its hybrid process as a shift from the Remote Virtual Accreditation (RVA) that it has implemented in several years in time of pandemic. Being a seasoned accreditor for decades, Dr. De Leon has accredited outnumbering colleges and universities in the country in counting along programs in teacher education, graduate education, liberal arts and at times, in the area of research. During the said assembly, Dr. De Leon met fellow accreditors, commissioners and the chairman whom he had worked with in those decades of accreditation invitational assignments under the said agency. To note, accreditation has been considered as one of the prime quality assurance measures among institutions that serves as the external audit of systems, standards and practices toward sustaining operational quality. Thus, it has also been in the pipeline in strategic direction of LPC.
