LPC accords Natatanging Kababaihan ng Limay 2023

Great women in the Municipality of Limay were given tribute and recognition on March 28, 2023 at the Limay Multipurpose Complex as culminating event of the Women’s Month Celebration. The nomination was opened to the public by posting the announcement in the 1Limay official facebook, Limay Polytechnic College official website and facebook and other social media platforms shared to everyone. It was also uploaded to the digital board at LPC Quadrangle fronting the national road that ran for several weeks. The nomination was made possible through ‘others’ or self-nomination process. The Committee decided to make it in sectoral form to represent specific professional and social clusters and sectors. Awardees underwent tedious process of selection through document review and analysis by the Members of the Jury who took their time in scrutinizing every nominee. They were judged based on the criteria set forth for this purpose which included social impact – 40%; advocacy – 30%; achievements – 20%; and character – 10%. The preliminary screening was done by the Committee, of which those screened out were moved to the final round that were subjected to the Jury composed of representatives of the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Women, Department of Interior and Local Government, LGU Human Resource Management, Municipal Social Welfare and Development and Limay Polytechnic College Board of Trustees. Upon deliberating the results of the nominees’ document evaluation, finally came out the awardees and recipients of the said Parangal who were invited to join the Recognition Day set on March 28, 2023 at the Limay Multipurpose Hall, Poblacion, Limay, Bataan. Sectoral awardees included: Dr. Lourdes Santos (education and academe); Ms. Ma. Glenda Dela Fuente (arts and culture); Atty. Marieglo Damocles (legal affairs and public relations); Pssgt. Lotes F. Biscara (military and defense); Ms. Elizabeth Salvador (business and economics); Ms. Rose Santos (agriculture and urban development); Ms. Annie Panaga (person with disability); Margarita Rosales (indigenous group); Ms. Rosalie Cruz (natatanging ina (single parent); and Responsible Alangan Ladies Movement, Inc. (samahang pangkababaihan), respectively. Awardees, who were in formal Filipinana and cultural attire, were given tribute and handed in Dakilang Kababaihan trophy and certificate during the recognition rites witnessed by their families and loved ones. Each of them delivered acknowledgment and appreciation speech. Consequently, Limay Polytechnic College and the Local Government of Limay, thru the Municipal Social Welfare and Development salute the awardees in honor and recognition of their service advocacies, social impact, great role and woman empowerment spirit in their respective fields with their remarkable character, integrity, respect, resilience, commitment, determination and true leadership essence that serve as an inspiration and motivation to others being the pride of the People of Limay as great empowered women of time.
