Limay Polytechnic College, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) staged the first Gawad-Parangal Para sa mga Kababaihan ng Limay. This event carried its significance of tributing women across sectors in the town whose statuses, achievements and advocacies are beyond compare that merit this citation. The program was prepared by the Institutional Gender and Development (IGAD) Committee, in partnership with the Gender and Development Sector of the Municipality chaired by Ms. Elaine Mercado The Gawad-Parangal was graced by Police Major Jennifer A. Cruz, the first woman chief of police in the town of Limay who served as the keynote speaker. She inspired the awardees and the audience when she shared her experiences of struggles in achieving her dreams and reaching the peak of her rank in the military sector despite being a woman that she never considered an impediment.
