Samonte, Mendoza present CRP; Genese reports research findings

Ms. Jarmaine Samonte, Social Studies faculty; and Mr. Leonardo Mendoza, Math faculty presented their teams’ research proposals during the 1st Research Capacity Building held at Limay Polytechnic College on March 18, 2022. Ms. Samonte laid down their proposed “Condition of flexible learning facilitation in a local college: A probe on challenges and opportunities toward institutionalizing a framework”; while Mr. Mendoza on “A meta-analysis of two-dimensional potent factors of student academic performance in time of pandemic in a local college: A portal to academic reforms”. Both researches are currently being processed and pursued by the teams, in coordination with the Office of the Research, Development and Extension (RDE). The said presentation serves as first phase of research process and development at LPC. Meanwhile, Ms. Frances Ann Genese, RDE head reported to the body the results of her research on “Research engagement, attitude, competence and constraints among faculty and staff in Limay Polytechnic College: A groundwork for research development program”. She also laid down her recommendations to address identified concerns toward making LPC a research-driven institution.
