Limay Polytechnic College held its 1st Research Capacity Building (ReCaB) on March 18, 2022 at the Audio-visual Room with the theme “Capacitating Faculty and Staff on Research Engagement and Productivity”. Resource speakers included Dr. Ethel Reyes-Chua, research director at Paranaque City College who talked about “Capacitating Faculty and Staff on Research: A Headstart towards Engagement and Productivity”; and Dr. Elmer B. de Leon, LPC college president, who presented topic on “Utilizing Available Data for Generating Research Output”, respectively. This event carried its perspective of capacitating faculty and staff on anticipated research and productivity at LPC. Specifically, it intended to enjoin participants to: demonstrate understanding on research structures, aspects and perspectives toward one’s engagement and production of output; (2) identify available data for utilization in generating research explorations; (3) conceptualize research proposals grounded on structures and aspects on available data to be utilized; and (4) show research appreciation and capacities through positive research engagement and productivity. As such, this was a beginning of making LPC a research-engaging institution. The whole event was manned by the Office of Research, Development and Extension, thru Ms. Frances Ann S. Genese, department head.
