LPC takes part in municipal affairs on labor and employment

LPC joined the sectoral brainstorming session on Enhancing Job Referral, Placement and Tracking System with LCE-TESDA, PESO and SB Committee on Labor and Employment on February 13, 2023 at the SB Session Hall. Dr. Elmer De Leon, LPC president, presented the future career-proofed education and industry-based academic system at LPC as its contribution to human capital development of the municipality and the province. The forum was facilitated by the said Committee chaired by Hon. Chair Manny Ambrocio, with Hon. Rosario Perez and Hon. Dennis Gochuico. During the forum, Hon. Gochuico took the floor to congratulate LPC for its recent award as a milestone for the Municipality of Limay, while Hon. Ambrocio affirmed the new trend and culture of the institution that is at par with the government thrusts and plans. He commended the new mindset in operating an academe that is industry-based and future-driven that would set new paradigms and programs based on community need. He also stressed the necessity to involve LPC to represent the academic sector in all industry engagements of the town, being the provider of manpower supply for human and social development. In return, Dr. De Leon acknowledged the collaborative effort and support of everyone who has made it possible. The said sectoral forum has been successful and fruitful as it impacts community development and quality of life of and for the people of Limay. LPC was also represented by Ms. Krisgie Punongbayan, guidance officer (for career development) ; Ms. Fatima Alvarez, placement coordinator; and Ms. Jesica Arizobal, OSADS. "LPC opens its doors ways and breaks boundaries in taking its active role in social development as it never stops and ends with academic formation alone, but it even goes further beyond, making it the Dangal ng Bayan," remarked Dr. De Leon.
