Limay Polytechnic College held its 2nd (1st onsite) Lampara Investiture & Pinning Rites with Hon. Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice-Chair, Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and President Emeritus of Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) as keynote speaker and graced by Hon. Remigio S. Tayag, Chair of Education Committee of the Sangguniang Bayan on February 23, 2023 at Limay Multipurpose Hall. Meanwhile, Dr. Elmer B. de Leon, LPC president and PAFTE vice president for Luzon, challenged the preservice teachers on the role that they have to take along crossroads of the teaching profession. He also reiterated the sanctity of LAMPARA as his brainchild program in teacher education few decades back that will forever be a legacy and advocacy among TEIs in the passing of time and the generation of preservice teachers as he cited the history and beginnings of LAMPARA. Spectators got amazed and were pleased with the solemnity of the touching ceremony, especially when parents proudly put on the badge to their children as a sign of their school immersion responsibilities and the lighting of candles as guide to their journey to their internship experience before they were deployed to their respective cooperating schools. Likewise, the preservice teachers’ demonstrated discipline from the processional and onset of the program until it ended won the affirmation and appreciation of everyone who witnessed the said event as first time in LPC. Ms. Ariane Sosa, 2022 BEED-Magna Cum Laude, served as the Mother Lamp bearer.
