La Verdad Christian College (LVCC) in Apalit, Pampanga visited Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on April 13 to benchmark its internationalization strategies and practices.
The delegation was warmly received by the LPC team led by Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, Deputy for Internationalization and Quality Assurance, through an Internationalization Forum organized for the purpose.
The visiting team, headed by Dr. Sharene Labung, Administrator and Chancellor, engaged attentively as LPCโs experiences, initiatives, and strategic directions were presented.
Dr. Elmer De Leon outlined the institutionโs philosophy, strategic directions, five pathways, priority outcomes, quality policy, and roadmap, highlighting the role of internationalization.
He further shared LPCโs initial efforts, ongoing pursuits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives in advancing its global engagement.
Hence, Mr. Banda presented LPCโs internationalization framework, aptly dubbed โPangahas: The Road to LPCโs Internationalization Journey.โ
He detailed the processes, requirements, and key considerations, and showcased the institutionโs official internationalization page and dedicated website section.
He also discussed LPCโs target participation in global rankings for the year with various agencies, which include the 24 WURI entries (100% in all categories) and other ranking opportunities.
In response, Dr. Labung expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to learn from LPCโs journey and extended an invitation for a reciprocal visit.
She also explored potential areas for collaboration, which Dr. De Leon affirmed, citing opportunities in research and extension, faculty development, student training, continuing professional development (CPD), and internationalization initiatives.
The benchmarking session concluded with an open forum, where questions from the visiting team were addressed by LPC representatives. The engagement culminated in an exchange of tokens and a campus tour featuring LPCโs facilities, project exhibits, and institutional achievements.
The activity was arranged and coordinated by Mr. Banda. #
