𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC visits LGU Mariveles; presents Agos-Buhay Program

Date Posted: Mar. 02, 2026

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon on Thursday visited the Mariveles Local Government and had an informative discussion with Ms. Carlyn Marie A. Manalo, Human Resource Management officer, to present the LPC's "Agos-Buhay Program", a free drinking water supply to students, February 26.

The president shared the new LPC learning framework, a dynamic SDG-based academic process, internationalization initiatives, inter-agency partnerships, community integration and development, and lifelong learning programs.

Some of the programs, like the Expanded Pamahayanan 2.0, the Edukalinga Senior Citizen Education framework, the Emporium double fusion fashion program, and the Product Pitching Program, were admired by Ms. Manalo, who expressed her desire to adopt them in their place upon seeing their potential and promising results. She also requested a partnership to train the LGU staff in certain areas.

Dr. De Leon expressed his desire to share and expand the Agos Program with the LGU Mariveles to reach more of their students who are residents of their town and to continuously assist them in sustaining free water as a basic need.

As a good response, Ms. Manalo committed to presenting and following up on the proposal to the Administration during their executive meeting with their beloved Mayor the following week.

To note, the Agos Program intends to provide continuous free, clean drinking water supply, while adhering to the 'No Plastic Use' Policy on campus by providing free school-issued tumblers to students instead of plastic bottles.

This initiative responds to the United Nations' call for the SDGs on clean cities (6), good health and well-being (3), climate action (13), and partnership for the goals (17), respectively.

As such, both partner entities vouched to commit to the realization of the SDG-based effort and initiative.

With Dr. De Leon were Dr. John Levy Rueda, head of the Department of Business and Accountancy, who monitored and evaluated performance of the interns deployed in the said LGU and requested the accommodation of more interns; Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, QUALITY officer for the linkage and partnership for the goals toward internationalization; and Mr. John Rudolph Barbin, MCPIO for the documentation and public information. #
