Future English educators on Monday enhanced their language and teaching skills through a two-day training seminar organized by Limay Polytechnic College’s Lingua Societas, held at the Limay Multi-Purpose Hall on Aug. 24-25, 2026.

The training brought together fourth-year students for discussions, workshops and activities aimed at strengthening their English proficiency and preparing them for classroom responsibilities.

Bingo B. Dela Cruz, EdD, a college instructor at Bataan Peninsula State University-Balanga Campus and an alumnus of LPC, opened the seminar with a session on English grammar proficiency and its application in language teaching.

Dela Cruz emphasized the role of strong grammar skills in developing effective communication and delivering clearer and more appropriate language instruction.

The first day continued with interactive workshops that gave the participants an opportunity to practice and apply the concepts discussed during the session.

Meanwhile, Aljon F. Tobongbanua, MAEd, Head Teacher III of Bataan School of Fisheries, led the second day of the training and discussed the qualities expected of student teachers.

Tobongbanua highlighted being purposeful, inclusive and responsive as three essential attributes that future educators should develop in carrying out their roles.

Participants also engaged in reflection activities that encouraged them to connect the lessons from the training with their future experiences in the classroom.

The seminar concluded with the awarding of certificates to the fourth-year students and resource speakers, followed by the closing remarks of Camille Joy Aglinao, adviser of Lingua Societas. #
