𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 | LPC traces Education graduates to assess institutional impact and learning outcomes
Date Posted: Mar. 21, 2026
Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) Department of Teacher Education conducted a three-year tracer study among its graduates to determine the impact of the institution on their current professional careers.
Believing that alumni status serves as a metric of institutional outcomes and the realization of its vision and goals, the study sought to determine their conditions, relevant skills, challenges, and experiences with hiring and ranking.
Likewise, they assessed the institution's instructional effectiveness, service quality, assistance with board examination preparation, employment, and continuous development.
Moreover, they expressed the institution's contribution and impact on their performance, career status, and accomplishments.
As part of the total assessment, they provided suggestions for continuous quality improvement of the teacher education program at LPC.
The results of this work would serve as input for reviewing curricula and academic policies, thereby establishing a more relevant and purposeful framework to address the identified concerns, set continuous improvement goals, and implement system innovations and interventions.
This piece of work was undertaken by Mr. Francis Syree Dee San Pedro, the Alumni Affairs coordinator and a member of the teacher education faculty; President Dr. Elmer de Leon, a teacher education specialist; and Mr. Joemark Ablian, RDE director, research mentor, and consultant.
To date, the survey process has been completed using the tool provided and approved by the Teacher Education Council (TEC).
The data have already been presented in visual graphics, analyzed, and interpreted, which are supported by theoretical and conceptual underpinnings and related empirical studies.
The paper is now undergoing in-depth validation and anonymous peer review for publication.
This has also been scheduled for presentation at the RDE's research colloquium.
