Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) welcomes its newly hired and appointed School Nurse, Ms. Edlyn Grace I. Rubio, RN, as the College continues to strengthen its institutional health services and promote a safe, healthy, and supportive learning and working environment for students, faculty, and employees.

Ms. Rubio earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in 2003. She is a Registered Nurse, as well as a certified therapist and phlebotomist, bringing to LPC a combination of professional preparation, clinical experience, and community-oriented health service.

Prior to joining LPC, Ms. Rubio served as Head School Nurse at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) in Mariveles, Bataan, and as a Public Nurse at the Limay Rural Health Unit II in Lamao. Her experience in school-based health services, relevant trainings and certification courses, community healthcare, and public service provide a strong foundation for her new role at the College.

Her educational qualifications, extensive experience in health assistance and public service, and demonstrated caring disposition toward the employees, students, patients, residents, and community members she has served have strengthened LPC’s confidence in her capacity to help sustain and further develop the College’s institutional health programs and services that the school is currently implementing managed by the Clinic and Health Team.

As School Nurse, Ms. Rubio will contribute to the continuing implementation and enhancement of health promotion, basic healthcare assistance, health monitoring, emergency response, preventive health initiatives, and other wellness-related services for the LPC community.

Her role will also support the College’s continuing efforts to maintain and further develop its Healthy Learning Environment (HLE) through coordination with institutional departments, units, and offices, as well as with the Rural Health Unit of the Municipality of Limay and other appropriate health partners.

Ms. Rubio is also an active member of the Association of Nursing Service Administration of the Philippines (ANSAP) and Philippine Nurses Association, reflecting her continuing engagement with the nursing profession and health service administration.

LPC recognizes that a healthy community is essential to effective teaching, meaningful learning, productive work, and student success.

The presence of a dedicated School Nurse therefore reinforces the College’s commitment to providing not only quality education but also a safe, caring, responsive, and health-conscious environment for everyone that LPC sustains as an utmost priority, need and significance.

With pride, appreciation, and confidence in her professional service, Limay Polytechnic College warmly welcomes Ms. Edlyn Grace I. Rubio, RN, to the LPC family.

Welcome to LPC, Nurse Edlyn! May your service help keep our community healthy, safe, and ready to learn, work and thrive. #
