Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) continues to strengthen its presence in professional organizations as Ms. April R. Cruz, Head of the Department of Teacher Education, was elected Auditor of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) Region III for the 2026β2028 term.
Ms. Cruz recently participated in the National Induction Ceremony of the newly elected PAFTE regional officers, where she formally took her oath of office together with other board members from across the country.
The induction was led by Hon. Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairperson of the Board for Professional Teachers of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), PAFTE Adviser, and former National President of the organization.
The ceremony also featured inspirational messages from Hon. Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairperson of the Board for Professional Teachers, PAFTE Adviser, and former National President, and Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, current National President of PAFTE and former Chairperson of the Board for Professional Teachers. They encouraged the newly elected officers to uphold excellence, integrity, and servant leadership in advancing the teaching profession.
Ms. Cruz's election further expands Limay Polytechnic College's representation in professional and academic organizations. Her distinct nomination becomes the 16th stint of leadership or representative roles in local, regional, and national professional associations, government committees, community organizations, legislative initiatives, and academic consortiaβan institutional strategy that promotes leadership, governance, and active engagement beyond the College.
College President Dr. Elmer De Leon congratulated Ms. Cruz on her election, recognizing her achievement as a testament to her professional competence and commitment to educational leadership.
"Your appointment not only reflects your personal dedication to the teaching profession but also strengthens the visibility and influence of Limay Polytechnic College in the wider academic and professional community," Dr. De Leon remarked.
