He also capped the need to prepare for the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), assuring students of the institutionβs full support, while reminding them of their responsibility to uphold LPCβs consistently impressive board examination ratings and top placements.
Matters concerning graduation ceremonial activities were also discussed, along with reminders on ranking and hiring processes in the teaching profession.
Thus, the college president reiterated the importance of doing well and performing excellently in their internship as their gateway to possible hiring and ranking.
He also urged them to always be at their best, stressing that professionalism, competence, and good moral character are essential to obtain opportunities.
He likewise reminded the four essential keys to a successful practice of the teaching profession: mastery, pedagogy, personality, and authority.
He concluded his message by reminding future educators that teaching goes beyond academic performance.
βA good teacher is not defined solely by high grades,β De Leon said. βWhile academic excellence is important, a true teacher is someone willing to share knowledge, be present for learners, and create meaningful change.β
To note, the said assemblage served its purpose of assessing the institution's delivery of services toward continuous quality improvement.
