Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Friday, has officially forged a partnership with House of Achievers Montessori School of Limay (HAMSL) to strengthen the College's proposed Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) program through curriculum development, faculty exchange, field immersion, and internship opportunities, July 31.

An exploratory meeting was initially conducted to discuss the partnership framework, clarify its provisions and scope, and ensure a common understanding and commitment between both institutions prior to the formal execution of the Memorandum of Understanding.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between HAMSL, represented by Ms. Devora Ocomen, School Owner and Principal, together with Ms. Marjorie Agustin, Assistant Principal; and Limay Polytechnic College, represented by College President Dr. Elmer De Leon, Ms. April Cruz, Head of the Department of Teacher Education, Ms. Jana Marie Mangune, BECED Program Coordinator, and Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, Quality Assurance Officer, with Mr. John Rudolph Barbin, Media Communication and Public Information Officer for the documentation of mentioned undertaking.

Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate in developing quality early childhood education through direct field immersion, internship placements, faculty exchange, curriculum enhancement, and career development opportunities.

The partnership will allow LPC's future BECED students to gain authentic learning experiences by participating in actual classroom immersion and internship activities at HAMSL, where they will be mentored by experienced early childhood educators while assisting in the implementation of child-centered instructional programs.

These experiential learning opportunities are expected to strengthen students' professional competencies and prepare them for the demands of early childhood education.

The agreement likewise provides mechanisms for faculty exchange, enabling educators from both institutions to co-teach, share best practices, and contribute their expertise in curriculum implementation, child development, and classroom management.

HAMSL may also seek assistance from LPC in curriculum development, school activities, faculty specialization, and other academic initiatives, further reinforcing a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.

Students from LPC will also have opportunities to observe and learn from HAMSL's child care and learning facilities, subject to institutional policies and safeguarding protocols, allowing them to experience diverse instructional approaches within a Montessori-inspired educational environment.

A significant highlight of the collaboration is the inclusion of Ms. Devora Ocomen in LPC's pool of resource faculty for the proposed BECED program. A Licensed Professional Teacher and a recognized practitioner in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, Ms. Ocomen brings years of experience in teaching, school administration, and child-centered learning. Her expertise will enrich the professional preparation of LPC's future early childhood educators.

Located near the LPC campus, House of Achievers Montessori School is a private educational institution that adopts the Montessori approach in delivering preschool and grade school education.
The partnership also reflects the strong ties between the two institutions, as Ms. Marjorie Agustin is an LPC alumna, many of HAMSL's faculty members are graduates of LPC, and Ms. Jana Marie Mangune, LPC's BECED Coordinator, previously served as HAMSL principal prior to her transfer to the college.

Both institutions view the collaboration as a strategic partnership that promotes shared growth, synergistic collaboration, and mutual development.

Beyond supporting the establishment of LPC's proposed BECED program, the partnership is expected to enhance curriculum innovation, faculty development, experiential learning, and employment opportunities for future graduates.
