Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Monday celebrated its 29th Founding Anniversary with the theme βHIYAS: Shine Global LPCian @ 29,β highlighting student talent, institutional achievements, and community unity through a week-long celebration, held at LPC ground, May 25.
Selected students and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff graced the celebration with a Coachella-inspired production number, performing the official soundtrack of the LPC 29th Founding Anniversary, βHiyas ng Bayan,β an original song written by LPC Information Officer John Rudolph G. Barbin, Mr. Danreve Apostol, and Mr. Joemark Ablian.
Hon. Marie Grace David, Municipal Vice Mayor, delivered her congratulatory message on behalf of the Municipality of Limay, highlighting the institutionβs continued success.
On the other hand, College President Dr. Elmer De Leon acknowledged the resounding achievements of LPC throughout the year during his speech.
The celebration likewise continued with the announcement of LPCβs achievements in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), where the institution earned notable placements in sustainability, AI-based teaching and learning transformation, curricular innovation, and empowerment-based management.
Meanwhile, HIYAS Indak, an annual mass dance culminating activity, brought excitement to the program as first-year students from various departments showcased creativity and weeks of preparation through energetic performances.
Special recognitions were also awarded for outstanding performances in costume, music, choreography, and overall stage presentation, emphasizing the participantsβ dedication and artistic excellence.
Meanwhile, the opening program of the 29th Founding Anniversary Celebration ended with HIYASaya: Laro ng Lahi, featuring traditional Filipino games that promoted camaraderie and school spirit among departments, facilitated by the institutionβs Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers.
