Carrying their digging tools with the swishing sound of motorized grass cutters, the National Service Training Program (NSTP), Community Extension and volunteer faculty and students, with the Barangay officials, paved their way to the upland site of Sitio Kinaragan, Brgy. Upper Duale, Limay for clearing the planting areas and digging plant holes, October 13-14.

This is in preparation for tree planting activity of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in partnership with LPC and Limay Municipal Environment and Natural Resources (MENRO) set on October 16, 2025, dubbed as "Lingap Komunidad: Tree Planting Activity" in celebration of the university's 121st founding year.

Accordingly, more than a hundred staff participants from the PUP Main and Mariveles Campuses are expected to come and participate in this big major environmental care event set by the biggest polytechnic university in the country which is now a strong partner of LPC in its extension programs and services.

As such, the participating LPC and MENRO staff and Barangay DUALE officials are very much excited in this upcoming event which will be social media and digitally covered.

The ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will also be set soon.

On LPC's end, Mr. Joemark Ablian, RDE director and Ms. Julie Diaz, Community Development coordinator is closely working and coordinating with MENRO, thru Mr. Johnny Mandocdoc, department head; and the PUP Extension Management Unit led by Mr. Rolan Malvar, director; and Ms. Airavie Joy DR. Austria, chief of EMO-CROSS and the whole staff.

As such, all are set for the said event with the needed baby trees, tools, planting spots and areas, community consent, certificates, documentation and expected participants. #
