Date Posted: Jun. 29, 2026

As part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement and institutional excellence, Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) officially commenced a week-long series of capacity-building initiatives for its administrators, faculty, and staff in preparation for the opening of the new academic year.

The professional development activities were carefully designed based on identified learning needs and emerging educational demands, as well as findings from faculty and employee surveys, classroom observations, thesis defense evaluations, performance assessments, student feedback, and institutional validation processes.

The seven-day capacity-building program includes the following activities:
Day 1: Annual Employees' Capacity Building
Day 2: Research Capacity Building
Day 3: Research Mentoring for Thesis Advisers, Panelists, and Researchers
Day 4: Faculty Pedagogical Professional Development Training
Day 5: ALCUCOA Accreditation Forum
Day 6: Employees' Onboarding Orientation
Day 7: Curriculum Review, Strategic Planning, and Quality Audit

The sessions will be facilitated by a pool of in-house experts and invited external resource speakers, providing participants with updated knowledge, practical skills, and best practices in their respective fields.

This year's Annual Capacity Building Program was manned by Dr. John Levy Rueda, head of Department of Business znd Accountancy, and Mr. Joemark Ablian, director of Center for Research, Innovation and Extension, in coordination with Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, QUALITY officer.

Through this initiative, the College seeks to ensure the readiness of all personnel in delivering quality instruction, effective academic supervision, responsive student services, impactful research and extension programs, strengthened internationalization efforts, and enhanced quality assurance systems.

The program also includes discussions on employees' rights, responsibilities, benefits, privileges, and ethical obligations in public service.

To assess the effectiveness of the training series, the Guidance, Testing, and Human Formation Office will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all activities. The assessment will measure participants' learning, application of acquired competencies, and the overall impact of the program on institutional performance and service delivery.

Anchored on the principles of continuous quality improvement, return on investment (ROI), and cost-benefit analysis, the initiative reflects LPC's commitment to ensuring that every professional development activity translates into meaningful improvements in organizational efficiency, instructional quality, and learner outcomes.

By investing in the continuous growth of its human resources, Limay Polytechnic College reaffirms its dedication to cultivating a competent, innovative, and service-oriented workforce that will sustain the institution's pursuit of academic excellence and responsive public service in the years ahead. #
