Themed "Enhancing International Collaboration in Higher Education", the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Region 3 led by Pres. Roger Ambida, president of City College of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, held the Academic Assembly and board meeting at the Cattleya Resort, Guagua, Pampanga.

During the session, Mr. Alan Mendoza, president of Guagua Community College, the host school, delivered his meaningful welcome and opening remarks.

Select presidents and board officers shared relevant matters on operation of local colleges. To wit: Dr. Atty. Gloria Banas, president of City College of San Fernando, Pampanga and concurrently, ALCU's focal person of UniFAST presented updates on UniFAST subsidy; Ms. Melanie Briones (CCSFP VP for Academics and Internationalization) talked about their experience on research initiatives and funding opportunities; Dr. Elmer De Leon, president of Limay Polytechnic College articulated narratives on LPC's journey to Internationalization and SDG-based reforms: struggles, strategies and opportunities; Dr. Joy Cortez, administrator at Polytechnic College of Botolan shared insights on IP project as their niche entry for WURI; Dr. Imelda Soriano, president of Gordon College reiterated on the need for accreditation and quality assurance in response to the Local Institution Governance Law and LUC leveling perspective; and Atty. Robert Doneza, administrator at Dalubhasaang Politekniko ng Lungsod ng Baliwag shared his experience and opportunities in his internationational studies in Taiwan as a scholar.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lora Yusi, CHEDRO 3 director resonated on strengthening partnership and collaboration in higher education.

Hon. Anthony Joseph Torres, Mayor of Municipality of Guagua Pampanga shared the town's evolutional development through efficient management and governance placing emphasis on education at the center, the reason why he puts premium on developing and innovating Guagua Community College in his keynote message.

GCC Performing Arts group presented musical and cultural performances.

Everyone benefited on the sharing of updates, experiences and practices in the light of quality assurance and in reaching hallmark of standards, excellence and sustainable development.

The presidents acknowledged the host institution for the quality hosting of the assembly, the warmth accommodation and the sweetness by sharing their town's proud craft musical item that they culturally patronize and promote in their place.#
