Limay Polytechnic College on Wednesday, marked a historic milestone after 382 students graduated during its 27th Commencement Exercises on June 3 at the Limay Sports Complex β€” the largest graduating class in the institution’s history.

College officials, faculty members, parents, local leaders and guests attended the ceremony to honor the achievements of the graduates.
LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon opened the ceremony and extended his congratulations to the Class of 2026.

Municipal Vice Mayor Marie Grace David reminded graduates that their diplomas symbolize more than academic completion.

β€œYou will receive your diplomas later. It’s not just a simple piece of paper, but proof of your success β€” success that you worked hard for,” David said.
Limay Mayor Richie Jason David expressed gratitude to the parents of the graduates, recognizing their sacrifices.

β€œThere are parents who go beyond their work just to ensure their children can continue their studies,” the mayor said. β€œSome endure heat and rain just to make sure we have daily allowances. If there is anyone we should thank today, it is them.”

Commencement speaker Dr. Lora L. Yusi, director of the Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance Office IV at the Commission on Higher Education, encouraged graduates to remain resilient as they face life’s challenges.

β€œA graduate of our LPC keeps walking,” Yusi said, urging the new alumni to embody the spirit of a BateΓ±o β€” resilient, courageous and persevering.

She also shared three pillars for graduates to uphold: to be grateful, to contribute and to serve. Yusi reminded them that they are products of free education and government support, and should not forget their roots.

β€œLet us not forget to give thanks and to serve, because no one succeeds alone,” she added.
Sen. Bam Aquino also delivered a message through a video greeting.

The 27th Commencement Exercises celebrated not only the graduation of 382 new LPC alumni but also the continued growth and progress of the institution.

The record-breaking number reflects the collective efforts of students, parents, faculty and the local government in supporting the aspirations of the youth. #
