Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) set a discussion forum with delegates from Korean schools based in Gangwon do, South Korea during their courtesy visit at LPC, October 06.
Included in the discussion were programs that the latter would want to bind with LPC, such as Student Cultural Exchange and Dispatchment Program with almost seven institutions in said country.
They may also work on with Korean students who may come in for cultural exchange activity with LPC students.
The said confluence aimed to strengthen LPC's internationalization prospect through student cultural exchange and dispatchment mechanisms.
The visiting school officials commended LPC and got amazed with LPC President Dr. Elmer de Leon when he presented the institution's interesting history, school culture, achievements and accomplishments, including its top stints in the board examination and world university rankings for innovation.
They got even mesmerized with the outnumbering awards and recognitions displayed in his office and in many areas of the school as they noticed that are almost crowding when they were toured around the campus.
In fact, they expressed to nominate the latter for a school leadership award in Korea and in Clark, Pampanga.
Meanwhile, Hon. Remigio S. Tayag, Jr., chair of SB Education Committee expressed his full support on behalf of Sangguniang Bayan in processing the needed SB resolution appertaining to the mentioned international programs. Mr. Mel Fernando, Municipal administrator representing Hon. Mayor Richie Jason David, who was in an initially committed appointment that day, extended Mayor David's full support for the programs with LPC.
Incessantly, the two parties committed for the forecited covenant as their whim of advocating international excellence and student development.
This reflected significantly through good gestures of acceptance, accommodation, cultural respect and mutual support when both parties showed sign of respect and appreciation in singing both countries' National Anthems and exchange symbolic tokens of appreciation and partnership.
The LPC president handed in significant LPC pins to the latter that they so much appreciated and immediately put on their collars.
Present on behalf of LPC were Academic Department heads, Office of Student Affairs, Discipline and Services who would be taking part in this program, Internationalization and Linkages Unit and Community Development.
The said discussion and acquaintance opportunity was arranged and coordinated by Ms. Julie Diaz, Community Development coordinator and Faculty Club president; and Mr. Mark Anthony Banda, QUALITI officer.
Once everything goes well, the signing of memorandum of agreements would be the next step. #
