LPC introduces Online BizHub to bring student products to digital market
Date Posted: Mar. 10, 2025
Limay Polytechnic College has introduced Online BizHub, an e-commerce platform designed to help Business Administration students showcase and sell products developed through their entrepreneurship subjects and business research, March 10. 2025.
The platform, accessible at www.bizhub.e-lpc.com, allows students to transform academic outputs into market-facing products by posting listings with prices, descriptions and promotional content. The initiative is categorized under Financial Impact-Driven Technology Transfer, highlighting its focus on real-world economic engagement.
Information and Technology Education Department Head Ms. Cheyser Charrese C. Gatchula said Online BizHub strengthens the institution’s digital transformation by expanding student exposure beyond classroom-based selling activities.
Instead of short-term displays, products gain continuous online visibility and access to a broader customer base.
The project supports student-centered learning by giving learners hands-on experience in product presentation, pricing strategies, customer communication and digital marketing.
Faculty members can also use platform engagement as evidence of applied learning for assessment and program improvement.
Online BizHub is currently in its initial development and testing phase, with continuous implementation and monitoring underway.
Business Administration students serve as sellers, while community members and campus stakeholders act as potential buyers.
On the other hand, College President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon said the program addresses the long-standing challenge of limited exposure for student products by placing them in an authentic online marketplace.
Despite its early stage, the program has already identified challenges, including maintaining listing quality, sustaining student participation and managing customer inquiries. To address these, the college has introduced clear posting guidelines, course integration and orientations on responsible online selling.
With minimal operating costs, including web hosting expenses of about $40, the college said Online BizHub delivers high educational value by improving entrepreneurial competence, confidence and employability skills among students, while increasing the visibility of student innovation in the community.
