As part of the observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) conducted a seminar titled βBREAKING THE SILENCE: A Safe Space to Talk About Suicide Awarenessβ on Wednesday, September 10, at the LPC Audio-Visual Room (AVR).
Led by LPC Guidance and Testing Director Mr. Dominic T. Primero, the event was attended by around 100 LPCian students and aimed to raise awareness of suicide prevention while creating a safe and open space for discussions on this important topic.
During the program, Mr. Primero emphasized the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health issues, especially among the youth.
His discussion served as a reminder of the need for compassion, understanding, and supportive dialogue in addressing mental health challenges within the community.
Also present at the seminar were OSADS Director Ms. Jesica A. Marata, who delivered the opening remarks; NSTP Coordinator Ms. Jullie Ann Diaz; LPC Instructor Mr. Visayas S. Villa; and NSTP Instructor Ms. Renziel C. Reyes. #
