Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Thursday mounted the merit awards program for the outstanding LPCian students for the second semester of Academic Year 2024-2025 in the recently concluded Dangal LPCians 8th Student Honors Convocation, held at Limay Sports Complex, August 14.
With a theme “Empowered to Ignite Minds & Shape the Future for Global Impact,” the institution recognized a total of 24 LPCians who performed excellently in their academics and awarded as President’s, Director’s, and Dean’s lister.
LPC Batch 2009 Alumna and Guest speaker Genelyn Cruz-Arnaiz glimmered the event with her inspirational message, highlighting her success despite all the struggles she’s been through while pursuing her dreams in LPC.
She also emphasized on her speech that sometimes success is not measured by the awards we receive but by the growth, effort, and impact we make along the way.
“Kapag nafe-feel mong pagod ka na at kapag nararamdaman mong late ka na, p’wedeng-p’wede kang huminga, pero bangon uli,” she added.
On the other hand, Aila Magpantay, who earned the highest marks and stood as the only President's Lister during the awarding ceremony, couldn't hold back her emotions as she opened about the struggles and sacrifices she went through in her academic journey.
Also, Mary Jane A. Magpantay, who delivered a message on behalf of the parents, sincerely thanked the entire administration of LPC for their sacrifices and commitment to educating their children.
She emphasized that without the support and guidance of the teachers and staff, their children would not have achieved this level of success.
Meanwhile, LPC College President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon graced the awarding rites with his congratulatory speech to the honorees for achieving such milestone.
Dr. De Leon also recognized the parent, loved ones, and the LPC teaching staff by mentioning that they were the people behind the success of the awardees.
“Gusto ko pong iparamdam sa inyo na sa pagkakataong ito ay kasabay po kayong pinararangalan dahil po sa inyong pagsisikap. At sa kabila ng hirap na inyong tinitiis, lubos po akong saludo sa inyo at nagpapasalamat dahil hindi n’yo po binibitawan ang pangarap ng mga batang ito,” he uttered.
Vice Mayor Marie Grace R. David delivered also an inspirational message on behalf of the Local Government of Limay by sharing her story when she was a student. Hon. David also reminded the students to keep on striving and always do their best to attain their full potential.
The said event was also attended by the Business and Accountancy Department Head Dr. Levy L. Rueda who delivered the opening remarks, Teacher Education Department Ms. April R. Cuz, BOT Secretary Ms. Remedios P. Mendoza, and organized by LPC administrators headed by Marites A. Pacquing. #
