𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC holds 2nd Coining Investiture and Pinning Ceremony; deploys 161 DBA student-interns

Despite a sudden power interruption, Limay Polytechnic College’s Department of Business and Accountancy (LPC-DBA) on Thursday, pushed through with its 2nd Coining Investiture and Pinning Ceremony, marking the students’ transition from classroom learning to workplace experience, held at the Limay Sports Complex, Sept. 17.

A total of 161 student interns were officially pinned during the ceremony, signifying their readiness to take on practical training and gain experience in their respective partner industries.

During his welcoming remarks, College President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon said the college was committed to ensuring that students were properly prepared and deployed to partner industries and agencies as they transition from academic training to the real world of work.

Sangguniang Bayan (SB) member Remigio S. Tayag Jr. on the other hand, delivered inspirational message on behalf of Municipal Mayor Richie Jason David, Vice Mayor Marie Grace David, and the Municipality of Limay.

The program featured an address of petition from JPIA-LPC President Sophia C. Pacorsa, endorsing the 21 students from the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; 64 from BSBA-Financial Management; 36 from BSBA-Marketing Management; and 40 from BSBA-Operations Management.

Keynote speaker Lealyn May B. Ramos, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist, urged the students to view their on-the-job training as an important step in applying classroom learning to actual workplace situations.

Ramos introduced “COIN,” which stands for Character, Opportunity, Impact and Network, as a guide for students as they begin their professional experience.

She emphasized the importance of bringing good character to the workplace, noting that employers look beyond skills and also consider qualities such as respect, honesty, punctuality, integrity and professionalism.

Ceremony proceeded with the entrance of insignia and symbols, followed by the coining and pinning ceremony led by Ramos, Dr. De Leon, and Dean of DBA Dr. John Levy L. Rueda, with student leaders from The Innovators assisting.

The program also featured the ceremonial song “The Journey” by Lea Salonga, the Business Student’s Creed led by Sean Dale C. Bueno and a student reflection delivered by The Innovators President Mark Rainier S. Pador.

Dr. Rueda delivered the closing remarks, concluding the ceremony and sending off the student interns as they prepare for their workplace deployment. #
