𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | LPC honors 135 students in 10th Honors Convocation; inducts LPCian leaders, advisers in 4th Pagtatalaga

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Wednesday, conducted two major events — the 10th Student Honors Convocation which recognized 135 student honorees and the 4th Pagtatalaga Oath Taking Rites which formally inducted its incoming student leaders and advisers for Academic Year 2026-2026, held at Limay Sports Complex, Sept. 16.

The 10th LPC Student Honors Convocation honored students for their academic achievements during the second semester of School Year 2025-2026, with 19 students named to the Director’s List and 116 students included in the Dean’s List.

The ceremony brought together the honorees, their parents, outgoing and incoming student leaders, faculty and staff, administrators and guests in a celebration of academic excellence and student leadership.

The program opened with the welcome remarks from Ms. April R. Cruz, director of Academic Affairs, followed by the inspirational message from Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, LPC college president.

Hon. Remigio S. Tayag Jr., Sangguniang Bayan chair of the Committee on Education, delivered greetings on behalf of Mayor Richie Jason D. David, Vice-Mayor Marie Grace David, and the LGU Limay.

Representing the student honorees, Bea Joy C. Talavera from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration expressed gratitude to the college, teachers, mentors, parents and fellow honorees, emphasizing that academic journeys unfold at different paces.

“There are seasons to be the rabbit and the tortoise,” Talavera said, adding that “being ahead does not make a person more worthy and being behind does not make anyone less.”

The second part of the program shifted to the 4th Pagtatalaga, beginning with the keynote address of Hon. Lovely Joy A. Poblete, provincial board member and ex-officio chairperson of the Committee on Youth and Sports Development of the Province of Bataan.

Poblete urged the incoming student leaders not to fall in love with their titles or positions, reminding them that leadership roles are temporary and entrusted to them to serve the student body.

She emphasized that the position is not something to own, but an opportunity to create a lasting impact, leaving leaders to ask themselves, “What did I do with the opportunity I was given?”

The oath taking rites formally recognized the transition of leadership within the Supreme Student Council, with outgoing SSC President Marck Jay Mendoza delivering the State of the Student Address and turnover of responsibilities.

Incoming SSC President Lance David G. Borjal then delivered his acceptance address as the newly inducted student council president, signifying the start of a new term of student leadership at LPC.

Poblete also led the induction and oath-taking ceremony for the incoming student leaders, as well as the newly appointed organization advisers, reinforcing their responsibilities to the institution as they assumed their respective positions.
